Solving sb live crackling with jfw v6

Hi all,
How do I fix the crackling that I am having with my sb live 24 bit sound
card and jfw v6? I have set jfw to work from this sound card. However, when
doing the setting, I did not update the eloquence driver. Is this ok?
I have read the fs tsn on the crackling issue but the tsn only deals with
windows xp. I am running windows 2000. Which of the fixes should I use?
