Hi Rose,
I know JAWS will stop reading the smart tags under the verbosity settings.
That's where I went to see about initially dealing with it. On many
occasions in class, JAWS will mis-read the word because the tag is there.
There's some kind of funny symbol under the word and it seems to throw off
the pronunciation of the word. This was happening in both JAWS 5.1 and 6,
and it was getting difficult for people to follow. So it got turned off.
Thanks for your suggestion, though. I appreciate that.
