Hello All: This is slightly off topic and for that I apologize. I'm running JAWS on a Windows Vista machine and want to experiment with Vista Speech Recognition. I have a microphone and headphone device that I plugged into the two jacks on the front of my computer, as I have done with no problem on an XP machine. However, I cannot get Vista to recognize the headphone and microphone plugged into these jacks. When I go to Speech Recognition options, I can't get the microphone set up; I get a message about making sure my audio devices are working correctly. So, my questions are, how do I get Vista to recognize the headphone and microphone plugged in at the front of my computer? And, how do I get it to set up the microphone? Thanks in advance for any help. Ray Campbell, Help Desk Technician Adaptive Technology Center Chicago Lighthouse for People Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired 1850 W.
