Hi,
Also make sure you update to the latest winamp. The other day I had a
skype call come in winamp paused like it should and then locked things
up tight as hell. Updating to the new winamp 5.12 fixed this problem.

Hey Grant

Ok, a few questions for you here.

1. What version of skype did you experience the problem with? I mean,
did
things go ok, and then one day, all of a sudden, without you doing
anything
this started happening? or did you upgrade to the newest skype and
that's
when this started happening? If you upgraded, perhaps downgrading your
Skype to an earlier version like 1.4 may solve it? If it's not that
though,
we still have other avenues we can explore.

2. Since you think it might be JAWS related, what version of JAWS are
you
using when this happens? If you have multiple versions on your system,
like
6.2 and 7.0 for example, does the same thing happen under both versions?

3. What operating system are you using? If you're new to Skype, it's
not
recommended for those using Windows 98 or any other OS before xp. It may
work on some systems, but the Skype knowledgebass says that Skype
uses a lot more CPU usage under Windows 98 which matches up with what
you've got going. It suggests to me that a lot more CPU usage is going
on
while a skype call is hapening, but when they hang up things are fine.
If it's not the operating system, then I'm not sure what could be going
on
with it.
So if you could let us know what's up with that we may be able to solve
this for you.
