Hello there;

1, open skype,

2, alt+t=tools,

3, O=options,

4, you should land on general 1 of 10,

5, press the end-key, you should hear; "hot Keys",

now, tab this should get you started in the right direction.

Hello Don,

Sorry for coming back late. I have been trying to reproduce those settings,
but without success.

If I go to tools menu, enter options, I land in a panel tree view for
general settings with 10 items. There is no option there for reassigning
the hot keys as you described.

I wonder if I should be looking elsewhere on the menu for the results.

I have skype version 4.2 installed.

Regards, smart

Hi Smart,

You should be able to reset the Skype hot keys as follows:

I pulled down the Tools Menu & cursored up to Options & pressed
Enter. Then, I pressed Shift Tab & started arrowing right until I got to the

Hot Keys Tab, where I Tabbed once and pressed the SpaceBar on the Enable
Global Hot Keys button; then, I cursored down the list of available Hot Keys

for Skype & pressed the SpaceBar on the Enable Hot Key button for each one.
Then, I Tabbed to the Change Hot Key button for each one and pressed the
SpaceBar on it, after which I Tabbed around and checked both the alt key and

the Win key for each one and put the correct letter in the Edit Box for each

one. Finally, I had to Route JAWS to PC for each one, then PageDown to find
the OK button to Left Click on it.

I set them as follows:

Global Hot Keys for Skype:

Answer: alt Windows A

Ignore: alt Windows I

Reject or Hang Up: alt Windows h

Focus: alt Windows f

Mute microphone: alt Windows m

Search for Skype Users: alt Windows s

    Hope this helps,

    Don
