?Now that is weird. It used to happen to me with win XP. I used to it shutdown button to turn my computer off and for some weird reason my computer turned itself on back again. Never could find a solution though. From: Brandon Keith Sent: Sunday, December 05, 2010 5:06 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Shutting down problem! I tried that, but every few times when I'd click hibernate it would restart rather than hibernate. Brandon, I recommend you start using standby or hibernate mode before closing the cover. Hello, I'm not sure what's going on: About 1 out of every 5 times I close my laptop it shuts down. I'm not sure if windows is installing an update or what, but it gets super super annoying, especially when I have 5 or 6 programs up at once and I need to restart them all. And because I'm in school I have to close my lap-top at least 5 times a day. This has always happened and I'm not sure how to fix it. I changed the option to hibernate when the lid gets shut rather than go to sleep, but that only decreased the shutting down from 1 every 3 times to 1 every 5 times and increased the time I need to wait for my computer to start up. I'm not sure if there is something that says it will shut down when I close my lid or what? Any help would be really appreciated!
