so I need not mess with any of this stuff, which to me... is junk, note I did

Point well taken. I must admit I am what you call, "from the new generation".
I get technology, pros and cons, faster. I guess that well, having facebook
open, while doing research, while listening to music and talking to my friends
on MSN is a pro. And doing that without having to hit alt tab all the time is
kind of nice. Maybe you should try the IE9 beta. It is like win 7. All the
things you've loved from 8 with a 7 or even 6 feel and look. But be ware, it is
a beta software. It also sometimes won't

how about the fact that everything they added and changed in the thing are
either in my bloody way or are against the things I like about internet explorer
yes the security is markedly better, but all the blasted tabs and other
goodies are entirely unwanted by me and make things worse, not better!

I am basically going crazy. The techs who worked on this computer
ignored all my instructions. They installed IE8 when I explicitly said I would
only go to it kicking and screaming. Will someone please give me the
