Subject: [SPAM] Which 2nd Sound Card?

Hi All, I have a list below of 4 cards under $50.
I will be adding one to listen to sound sources other than JAWS and this
will often be an A M radio station.
Which one would you all suggest or are there others that are better values?
Thanks and off list is fine at:

* Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Value
* AOpen Cobra AW870LP 8 (7.1) Channels
* Creative Sound Blaster 16 Pre-Amp 2 Channels
* SABRENT SBT-SP6C 6 (5.1) Channels

The Creative Sound Audigy 2 is $50 including shipping and has a lengthy list
of features. The reviews are positive, and this is a high quality card.
Specs
Audio Chipset Audigy2
Channels 8 (7.1)
Sample Rate 192KHz
Digital Audio 24-bit
Polyphony 1024 Voices

The AOpen Cobra Card is $35 including shipping and has a smaller sheet. The
reviews are positive, but muted. To quote "I like this card, but I don't
love it"
Audio Chipset C-Media CMI8768
Channels 8 (7.1)
Sample Rate 96KHz
Digital Audio 24-bit
Hardware Decode Dolby Digital EX, DTS-EX

The SABRENT SBT-SP6C Sound Card is $15 including shipping. The reviews are
varied, but mostly positive. The overall tone is good sound quality, but you
reap what you sew alluding to the low cost.
Audio Chipset CMI8738
Channels 6 (5.1)

Finally, the Creative Sound Blaster 16 Pre-Amp is only a 2-channel device
and it was kind of hard to find because the popular demand is for surround
sound setups. It's as old-school slash low-end as it gets, but reviews are
positive. It is $25 including shipping. Nevertheless here are its specs:
Channels 2
Sample Rate 48KHz
Digital Audio 16-bit
Polyphony 128 Voices
Thanks for your help as always, Mitch
