Alvin,
Just to clarify, the settings are not lost, they are just not being used.
When you exit and re-load JAWS in your usual manner, your setting do come
back.

Hi, it basically loads the default profile for JAWS. This is for
diagnostic purposes only, and any settings you make will be lost, as
the user profile for JAWS is ignored in this mode. Hope that helps.
