Hi Yardbird,

I'll try to clarify this for you. In my original message I said,
Can someone tell me how to remove the following between conversations?
Then I put what I wished to eliminate.

FYI, The above reference is what I meant when I said, Information, in the
subject line.
Yardbird, here the word "information" indeed identifies something.
I don't know if you noticed but, the subject was, removing information
between conversations permanently.
In which "Information" means, Yes! "Extraneous junk words". If that is
what you want to call it.

Hope you understand now,
And if you don't, I've applied to this conversation what I meant.

Take Care,

Roger Bachelder

Roger,
I suspect it might help clarify things if you'd say what it is you mean by
the term "information," here. Are you referring to the headers of each
message, as opposed to the message content? maybe also the Signature lines
about the various services and web sites related to the list? Those sorts of

things? The reason I replied is I did is because the word "information"
doesn't really identify anything. The word has begun to be used in the past
few years to apparently mean nearly anything, if you have noticed. In this
case, I think you meant something like "extraneous junkwords," but it turns
out that junk doesn't include the actual messages in the thread, just other
stuff?

Thanks. We won't know what is possible until we know what's being wished
for, right?

Thanks.

Hi Yardbird,

I completely agree with you about wanting to keep the responses beneath the
current message. But I would like to get rid of everything in between each
message, so it would appear as if there were two people in one room having a
conversation.
Like I said, I don't even know if it is even possible.
I'm hoping it is, and that someone can provide me the information on how to
do this.

Roger Bachelder

Roger,
you can set your own email program not to "quote" the message to which
you're replying, so that you won't be contributing to the clutter, if that's

how you feel about it. But personally, I prefer that previous messages
appear below the one I'm reading, so that I can trace the conversation
backward if I happened not to see some message in the first place but find
myself interested in a reply to it and belatedly want to see what the
question was. This happens every now and then. On a list where no one allows

the previous messages to be quoted beneath their own, sometimes the meaning
is completely lost to me. I don't know who's being responded to, what they
said, or whatever.

Just how I feel, of course.

Hello everyone,

I'm sure this would be beneficial to a lot of people, because it almost
seems Repetitious.

Can someone tell me how to remove the following between conversations?

how to do this.

Please respond.

Thank you in advance,
