Ah my apologies I guess I misunderstood your line of questioning. Firstly I have accessed computers both running Jaws and not. For some reason, when I
accessed the computer that was not running Jaws Jaws did not speak.
Thankfully the Braille display got me around that little problem. I don't
know if it was strictly that particular computer or whether that would have
happened all the time. I hopefully will try again soon and I promise to
send a review to the list (or whoever is interested when I do.) An example
is when you alt tab (you know to get between windows) you see wherever you
happen to be on your computer then when you alt tab you will hear (or in my last example where Jaws would not speak and I used the Braille display), you will notice Dave Smith on Dave that being the other computer. When in that window I went to the my documents folder and found the uninstalled emule to
install. I received notification last night that there is an update so I
will review that too to see if any changes are made as to whether it is jaws
friendly or not. You know how it is, sometimes it's better to stay with
older versions.

Liz

ok, but I guess what I'm really asking for is a description of what kind
of access you eventually have over the other persons pc with jaws? Does
jaws talk for you as if the applications were running on your pc? If
not, are you able to read the remote screen by use of the jaws cursor?
Or is all this remote access you're able to do because of some low
vision you have?

We have been assuming that the remote computer was *not* running jaws,
is that also correct?

thanks.

Sorry. What I meant by fairly accessible is that when you
set up whether
you whether you want to share control or access control you
need to route
jaws to pc then control left or right arrow to which ever
choice you want
then toute pc to jaws. I said fairly accessible because I
know some people
do not like using software where linking and unlinking jaws
to pc cursors
comes into play.

What do you mean by "fairly accessible?"

Are you told about menus and controls and dialogs in this arrangement,
which actually are on the remote pc?

thanks.
