Hi,
I've been doing this for 20 years. I think the critical issue is the clock
speed of your own machine, the operating system, the amount of RAM, and the
speed of the connection. I use a VPN connection (Virtual Private Network)
because my University makes me. I also use my normal Outook (2007) andmy
account is configured for RPC over HTTPS. I also have "Cashed Exchange
Mode" turned on. Write back for any details. My home setup behaves just like
my office machine.

As I said, it's fine over a network, but over the internet it's crap!

I use RD over a corporate network every day and it is very responsive...
Essentially no difference from using a local computer. Any latency problems
have been due to network issues, mostly on the corporate side of the
connection.

Pat

Ar ok. Haven't done full blown remote desktop where you connect to another
computer across the internet; I've only done it across a local network.
