Interestingly I thought Samanthia was the best as well and I still use it only
in the say all mode. John Fioravanti

  Hi Ken,

You can download the real speak direct voices from a page on the FS website.
You can get to it via the web resources submenu that is located in the help
menu of the JAWS user interface. That web page also has buttons to play samples
of all the different voices so you can pick the one you like. I use Samantha
myself, but only as my say all voice since I still prefer eloquence for most
things.

However, you can only use these real speak voices with Freedom Scientific
products, so things like MAGic and OpenBook 9 whenever that comes out. You
won't be able to use them with NVDA since they are not SAPI 5 versions. FS
shipped SAPI 5 versions of real speak voices before JAWS 10 because the direct
voices weren't available yet. I figured it was only a matter of time before the
direct voices came out, making it similar to how they have eloquence only work
with JAWS. Since I have a JAWS 8 and 9, I kept the real speak SAPI 5
synthesizers on my computer to use with other things. I use Samantha as my iPod
nano voice.

Maybe you could contact FS sales and see if you could buy a real speak SAPI 5
CD from them? Either that or buy a SAPI 5 version of real speak from somewhere
else, so that you could use it with NVDA.

  HTH,

  Brian
