The only way I could suggest is to use the jfw dictionary for this.

Subject: Reading Roman Numerals as Numbers with Jaws 6.2

  Hi all,

Is there a way to configure Jaws 6.2 to read Roman numerals as numbers? I
have a table listing items with roman numbers such as I, II, III, IV, V, etc.
Jaws says ve for VI when VI means 6.

Any help will be much appreciated.

  Adam
