Hi Mathew!!
Viruses are tricky things. Even though you know a certain file is legit
in name, it does not mean the file can't be infected with a virus. This
is how they usually work.

Microsoft has provided a program called 'System File Checker' that scans
your system files, and repairs files that are not exactly as its
internal library specifies.

I can walk you through running sfc if you like, but I will need to know
what version of windows you are using and we probably should do it off-list.

Cheers

Craig
