The interaction between radios and computers is now common place. I own two Kenwood transceivers which lend themselves to this kind of operation, especially the TS-2000, and wondered if anyone on the list had experience with user friendly software programs. If I could overcome the physical logistics (the shack is on one side of the room, and the PC on the other), I'd love to try manipulating this menu-laden rig from my computer. All of the menus talk to a greater or lesser degree, but a well-laid-out program would allow me to more fully exploit the radio. For instance, one of the receiver equalizer choices is not available from the front panel. Last I saw, Kenwood offered control software free of charge on its Web site, but that was 8 years ago, when the model was still quite new.
