MessageI don't think you have to delete what you have read. Possibly the 
direction you heard was to delete the feed which you won't want to do unless 
you want to get rid of the Register feed you found.

  Okay, folks, I listened to the Freedom Scientific Podcast on IE RSS reader.  
I have IE 8.  Although it was a little different, I was able to subscribe to 
the Des Moines Register news feed.  I thought the podcast said to go to 
properties to delete articles after you had read them.  I can't find where to 
delete the articles after I have read them. Thanks in advance for your 
assistance!

   If the "black box" flight recorder is never damaged during a plane crash,

  I use both. With Jaws 9, I was using firefox almost exclusively, but with the 
past jaws 10 releases, there have been a couple of issues with jaws and firefox 
making it more tedious to use firefox as opposed to IE. That duplicate link 
thing I mentioned on google reader for instance and a memory lag issue or 
something that causes jaws to stall for a second or two quite randomly. In any 
event, these issues aren't present in IE and so I use IE  more out of necessity 
rather than preference.

   

  I prefer google reader because you can create folder for topics and sort your 
feeds according to them. I for instance, have sports, news, finances, 
technology etc. These appear as links too. Mainly, the reason I prefer google 
reader over IE's integrated feed reader and others is that I can skim through 
the various updates very fast. Each update has the link to that particular 
story, the rss feed title of the page, one quick line of the content and a 
quick summary blerb. In addition to the updates being displayed in 
chronological order. Mainly though, because google reader is really just 
another webpage, I can either just leave it open in a separate tab while I'm 
doing other stuff online or on my pc in general. No need to launch an entirely 
different application or go into some menu thing to check to see if there are 
any new updates etc. Just tab over to google reader and skim down the page or 
just refresh it. Simple as that.

     Do you use Firefox exclusively, or do you ever use IE with JAWS 10 and 
specifically with RSS?Is there any problem with double links with RSS and IE in 
JAWS 10?  What was better about Google Reader vs My Yahoo?  Was it an 
accessibility thing?  

     I'm never dealt with RSS at all and wish to learn what people go through 
as I am delving into the blogosphere and want to see what my audience will see.

    Google Rreader works for me quite well. I used to use My Yahoo, but I feel 
as though reader is better. Since Jaws 10, however, there's been an issue with 
a double link appearing for each rss update in Firefox. Other then that, it 
works fine with Jaws. You can skim through the various updates just by pressing 
the h key. I've got over 190 feeds so this quick key is very helpful.

    Dear All,

        I am considering adding a blog with an RSS feed to my website.  I have 
never used RSS as either a content purveyor or a recipient. while reading a 
commercial blog last night, I noticed that the reader was given the option of 
subscribing to this blog via any number of well known RSS services such as 
Hostgator News and others.  Do any of you have any opinions on which of these 
RSS readers is more or less accessible?  Is there an "Industry Leader" among 
the general sighted population?  Do the blind as a group use something other 
than the industry leader for accessibility reasons?  thanks for any info.
