hi Bob, Great. Let us know what FS says. It seemed logical to me, too, that you should be able to turn off the verbosity for this feature not just in that on-the-fly Insert V menu but in Configuration manager. Which, so far as I can tell, isn't possible. So let's see. As you say, for Jaws to announce RSS feed availability on a site is a nice, very up-to-date feature. But if you don't happen to be taking advantage of RSS feeds, and don't need to hear about them, it's usually typical in Jaws that you would be able to toggle off the announcements. Thanks for the effort. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bobcat" <bobcat11@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, April 01, 2007 12:28 AM Subject: Re: RSS availability Hi Yardbird. I wrote to FS about this issue. We should be able to turn off that announcement. It's nice to have the feature. I agree it needs to be user controllable. It seems I can't, though, if I'm still using IE 6 instead of IE 7, -- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/ Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.com JFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
