If you do it with insert+shift+v the setting for that site will be remembered. If you do it just with insert+v it's forgotten when you go back to the site if you've closed and reopened ie. As for RSIframe, I think it's just the name they've given to the frame in the HTML, these frequently make no sense to anybody other than the person or software that coded the web page. Cheers. What are they? you mean to say that "RSI" all caps, so it speaks right) might be just the name of a particular frame design? Okay. As for the on-the-fly verbosity menu, why do you recommend brining it up with insert *shift* v instead of simply insert v, which as far as I know is how it's usually done. Is this a special purpose approach to using that menu? Thanks. And I have a hunch you're right to think that defeating page refresh might stop whatever it is from appearing. I think these are a variety of Google-generated ads that provide the site some revenue. thinkunhch ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alex Stone" <alex.stone@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, October 22, 2006 7:49 AM Subject: RE: RSI frames. What are they? Yardbird, I reckon the rsi frame bit is probably a red herring. I think what you need to do is go and turn off auto page refresh. when at the page, hit insert+shift+v assuming you're not using a funny keyboard layout. Hit end to go to the bottom of the list of options, then up arrow once, hit space twice and hit enter. This should stop the page refreshing, if it doesn't let me know and I'll try and help you out! Cheers. Alex -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Yardbird Sent: 22 October 2006 15:24 To: JFW List Subject: RSI frames. What are they? There's a web site that's begun to dislodge Jaws's focus as I try to arrow down through its pages, at unpredictable times, throwing me to another part of the page from where I was reading. Often, I hear Jaws say "RSI frame frame." Anyone know what this should imply for me? Something about Flash ads of some sort that Jaws can't handle? Or..? Need a way to stop this and gain control.
