RE: Query about AVG Free Edition v. 7.5 with Jaws

Renette
Un-install the trial version completely, then go to the site free.grisoft.com
and download the free version. When you run the AVG set-up, you will find
there is an option to do a new install as opposed to an update to any current
version you may have installed (this is shown as a Repair option in the set-up).

Cheers
Chris

Robert

Where do I check if this is indeed the case.

If it is indeed so, How do I now proceed to install the free version? (I
had the previous version of AVG already installed)?

Thanks.

Renette

Sounds like you may have installed the trial version, not the free version.

JAWS didn't seem to want to co-operate at all! When I tabbed it wouldn't do
anything so there didn't seem to be any options to allow one to do anything
about it and the only thing it would read on the line was the bit about the
deadline approaching. I tried closing it but although it said close it
didn't and then after I did some other things to find out what it was it
went into this part of the website I mentioned. Why does one have to pay to
get the new version, even if we had the free one before! I think that's a
bit cheeky and out of order when companies do this sort of thing more and
more. That way they could lose customers because people will find one that
is still free from another company that's as good or better.

From Marissa.
