Hi Catherine,
It's possible to change the amount of punctuation you hear while reading. To do 
it on the fly, do the following:

Press insert and the letter v
Now cursor down to punctuation setting and (using the spacebar) circle through 
the settings until it says "none."
Tab once to the "close" and press enter.

This setting is good only for the duration of time you are in that document. I 
think there's a method for setting this up permanently but I don't know it.
