Hi, to me VB.Net is the most accessible programming language out there. On the whole Visual Studio is, but VB.Net which is part of Visual Studio is an easy to learn language (the "basic" gives it away), the programmes can be made to work well with screen readers, and the IDE you use, Visual Studio, is fully accessible, especially with the JAWS scripts. Hope this helps.

Hi, I've been programming on our mainframe for some time now. I've been asked to take up the task of learning VB .Net. Before I even begin, I'd love to know who is programming in this language using JAWS. What are the typical programming environments for VB .Net, and does JAWS have any problems with any of them? Are there any special concerns I should be aware of, or solutions that others have developed that I can implement? Thanks, Lora -- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.comJFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxTo unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.Archives located at: //www.freelists.org/archives/jfwIf you have any concerns about the list, post received from the list, or the way the list is being run, do not post them to the list.
