Ray,

There could be another window occluding. Sometimes these windows are not
accessible via the task bar, but are part of things like automatic updates,
virus scan reports, etc. Using the JAWS cursor and moving around can
sometime find these windows for closing. Or check the system tray for any
apps that are active.

Subject: Problems Reading Outlook Express Messages

Hello All:

I took a call from someone in China who is running JAWS 8.0 English
Professional version on a Windows XP machine. Sometimes, when she types out
a new e-mail message in Outlook Express and goes back to read it over, JAWS
doesn't appear to be reading correctly. For example, if she presses the up
or down arrow key in the message, JAWS doesn't always read whole words, but
sometimes reads one or two letters at a time.

I checked her display settings and everything appears to be fine there. I
don't see anything out of the ordinary in the options under the tools menu
of Outlook Express. We maximized the screen, thinking this might help but
it did not. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks,
