Ah yes, I bet that in the virtual buffer the link of the senders name is above that of the subject as it appears to be with MSN hotmail, meaning that the problem is identical to mine.

Thanks

Peter

This, I think, is due to the way the virtual cursor works in 8.0, as I
have similar problems to, but not on the BBC site, but my e-mail
provider's site. What happens sometimes is that I log in to my inbox,
and click on a link related to the subject but what actually happens is
that JAWS appeared to have clicked the link associated with the e-mail
address to which the message was sent. So, for example, let's say I
clicked on a link related to this subject, and the e-mail was from me.
You would click the link related to this subject, but what actually
happens is that you click the link related to the sender, therefore in
my case initiating a new e-mail message. Very annoying I have to say but
in about two or three attempts JAWS clicks what I've told it to click
on, and not to click on anything above. This occurs in JAWS 8.0.423
demo, and possibly newer builds, but may be fixed in the latest update.

On the bbc news site at www.bbc.co.uk/news I'm having a problem were I'm
clicking on a news story and it is going to the one above.

For example I use ALT +2 to go to the 'skip to content' link, press enter
then go down to an article about new orders for Boeing 787' but when I
press
enter or space bar on it, it goes to the article above about a man dies
after tombstoning.

Any ideas what's wrong.
