If you have recently installed or upgraded Norton, is the MS office plug-in unchecked? Go to options and enter; control-tab to miscellaneous, and tab to the last item--which, in my expeerience, doesn't speak. Assume it is checked, and uncheck it. this may break something, but hopefully not. It's worth a try if you're a Norton user and have tried everything else.
