Is there a way to ensure updating, or this feature is not implemented in Italian or however in international versions different from English language? My version currently used is 9.2169. Date: Mon, 2 Nov 2009 18:14:23 +0100 Hi friends, it's preferable to uninstall all extra toolbars like Google, Yahoo, Search Assistant, Skype and any other toolbar which becomes something cumbersome for Internet usage and performance by blind users. ------------------------------ From: "Mike & Barbara" <mb69mach1@xxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: Printing specific pages from a document Date: Mon, 2 Nov 2009 09:42:42 -0800 Hi Ron, I am running a Hp6200 series all in one machine with XP Home. After I press control + P to print a page and tab to the page range option Jaws reads, page range " all, 1 of 4 ", but only 2 choices are shown. I then route the Jaws cursor to the PC cursor, press control plus home to go to the top of the page, and arrow down several times and there is an option to print the current page, but it has to be checked with the left mouse button on the number pad. Hope this helps. Take care. Mike ----- Original Message ----- From: Ron To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, November 02, 2009 8:27 AM Subject: RE: Printing specific pages from a document Judy. The only prompts I have are: Odd numbers Even numbers and All pages in range. Can anyone tell me how to print just one page? Many thanks. Date: Mon, 2 Nov 2009 12:03:59 -0600 If someone wishes to use jaws on a mac, first they'll have to get a program called bootcamp and install that program first before installing jaws on there mac computer. the other thing is that if a person is not using their computer to do music exclusively, the voice over softwar should work even though they might have a problem trying to write what are called scripts for the programs that are on their mac. I hope that this information is home what helpful. If a person does already have a mac and they plan to use it for music production, i don't have any answers. ----- Original Message ----- From: "tom behler" <tombehler@xxxxxxxxx> To: "jaws users e-mail list" <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, November 01, 2009 9:03 PM Subject: Jaws for Macintosh computers? > Ok, guys, it's time to tap into your wisdom again. > > I am attending a work-related conference, and someone just asked me if > there > is a Jaws program, or equivalent, for Macintosh computers? > > I told them that I didn't think so, but I suspect someone on here would > know > for sure. > > The person who asked me has a relative who is a Mac user, and is loosing > his/her sight, so is starting to wonder about speech screen reading > software > that might be useful. > > I'm at this conference for the next ffew days, so if anyone has any info, > I'll be able to pass it along to the person asking the question. > > Thanks as always! > > Tom Behler in Colorado > > > -- > JFW related links: > JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/ > Scripting mailing list: > http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.com > JFW List instructions: > To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to > jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line. > Archives located at: //www.freelists.org/archives/jfw > Alternative archives located at: > http://n2.nabble.com/JAWS-for-Windows-f2145279.html > > If you have any concerns about the list, post received from the list, or > the way the list is being run, do not post them to the list. The update also includes some enhancements that make JAWS 9 work better with Magic. It's not absolutely necessary to install this update, but it is probably a good idea to do so just to be on the safe side.
