Mark, I have noticed this too. I've often wondered why this is, but I believe it's probably because the information that we're seeing on the page is in a buffer, which is the same reason that people were talking about disconnections with dial-up while reading a long page. Most likely, selecting text in the buffer doesn't select the text physically on the web page. It'd be nice to have a script written that would allow for a keystroke that would actually cause selected text to be highlighted and sent to the printer.
