Would the state be willing to upgrade you? If you use the braille display for your job, it should give you considerable negotiating clout with them. Surely they didn't expect you to never need an upgrade. What state do you live in?

OK, but what about older braille displays? I don't have the money to upgrade to a new display, and it's an old Alva 380 that I was given by the state, which works fine. It's hard enough finding a serial port or usb converter, which I haven't found yet, and if a driver won't be supported for this older model, then I will be doubly out of luck.Thanks a lot.
