I've been watching this thread with great interest because I want to be able to use other computers where screen readers are not installed. So, using the portable Jaws autorun CD, you can run jaws on any computer with a sound card without actually having to install jaws on that system. That's good news, but I want to take this a little further. Jaws works best with the operating system set up in Classic windows style and all the other subtle adjustments to the folder options, desktop appearance, task bar & start menu etcetera. So the question is: Is there a way to load these configuration settings with some kind of User profile on CD or floppy, and then restore them to their origional state when finished using that computer? In other words, you want to leave the computer as you found it, but you also want jaws to be able to work optimally on that computer which involves making significant changes to its "look and feel".
