Personally, from a network security standpoint, one internet security
system doesn't make a difference over another whether you're using
whireless networks or not. The difference between Norton and
PC-Cillin is the latter will warn you if an unrecognised computer is
trying to access your whireless network. But, if you're using it on a
hotel network that probably wouldn't be what you want anyway. The
only reason I recommend PC-Cillin is it seems to catch more than most
others, including Norton and McAfee, and it has a built-in adware and
spyware scanner, unlike Norton and McAfee. Also, I find it anyway
more accessible with JFW than Norton is. I haven't used McAfee since
a very, very early version of the software and that didn't play so
nicely with JFW.

I'm buying a new laptop. I'm sorry if I was unclear--I meant the security issues. What the salesperson said doesn't make sense to me; he claims that with a wireless connection that PCCillin has features in it that allow for security on a network such as in a hotel. I've always used Norton Internet Security but apparently that's not an option. The only other option is McAffee.--Betsey Doane

I use this very regularly, and it works perfectly. I'm not sure what you mean by antivirus program for whireless connectivity, though. An antivirus program is an antivirus program... it doesn't have anything to do with your network connection. Clarification may be in order here, perhaps.
