Hi Peter, I remembered we had some overheat issues with some of the DELL computers we deploy around here and I asked on of our hardware teckies if he remembered anything about the solution. He said that DELL directed him to be sure the BIOS was upgraded to a certain level. Apparently the temperature sensor and fan-speed control can be controlled at the BIOS level. He recommended touching base with DELL support to see what they have to offer. Good luck, Jabo > i AM USING A dELL INSPIRON 8200,WITH PLENTY OF HARD DRIVE SPACE. 256 OF > RAM,BUT RARELY USE MORE THAN EMAIL AND A BROWSER. mY VENTS ARE WELL CLEAR OF > OBSTRUCTIONS,AND i KEEP IT ALL CLEAN. > Peter -- To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
