alt control i is a toggle keystroke in MS Word which alternates between insert
and overtype mode whilst typing into a document. The best way to get round the
situation is either to move focus from Word before pressing control alt i to
invoke your internet browser or define a different hotkey to launch your
internet browser.

Subject: Over type mode and insert mode active.

Hello everyone,

When I am in Microsoft word and I try to go to Internet Explorer, by pressing
my short cut key: Hot key, Jaws says insert mode active. Now when I'm in
Microsoft Word and in a document, and I try to go to internet Explorer, with
the same command, Jaws says over type mode active.

Can someone tell me how to fix these two issues?

Help would be appreciated.

Roger Bachelder
