You have to be in the pane containing keystrokes and not the pane containing key maps for different applications. If you tab once you will hear Microsoft word: then tab to get to the other pane. Now in this list view you can type letters to get to an item quickly. So type the word toggle and arrow down until you get: toggle writing mode. If you are not using overtype mode at all you can simply delete the keystroke by pressing delete and answering yes. If you wish to use overtype mode, press control+h for change keystroke and press another key you want to use for overtype mode such as windows key+w. Press enter and you're done. You can now exit keyboard manager with alt+f4. hth -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Roger Bachelder Sent: 15 January 2007 05:06 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: Over type mode and insert mode active. Hello: While in MS Word the Alt Control I key combination is a shortcut key for toggling between overtype and insert modes in the application. If you are in a document and you wish to go to the internet try hitting Windows Key m to minimize all applications and then use your hot key for Internet Explorer. That is what I do. I hope this helps.
