Outlook express and unread messages

All of a sudden Jaws does not tell me if a message is unread or not.
If I reed the status line, it tells me how many are unread, but as I =
arrow up and down my messages, Jaws acts as if they are all red!
If a message was unread, Jaws would say unread then who it is from, then =
the subject.
I am running Jaws 6.0, windows XP sp2, and outlook express 6.
I have checked all settings in Jaws and outlook express and I am =
stumped!
Any help would be appreciated!
