With my MSOutlook-XP, I just keep checking with an Insert-Page Down.
This gives a progress of the download and when complete, tells you how
many messages are in the current folder and how many are unread.

Take care...

Subject: Outlook and sounds.

Hello every body,
I would like to know if outlook can be made to make a sound after all
the emails are finished down loading?
Outlook express makes its sound after the emails are finished being down
loaded. However, Outlook makes its sound in the beginning of the email
down load. Some times it can take up to three minutes or more to get all
the emails for one folder. So, I am wondering if a sound can be setup
for when the emails are finished down loading?
If any one has the answer, and knows how to get it done, I would greatly
appreciate itThanks,
Carliss
P.S You know,I have really learned quite abit from this list, and the
previous jaws list.
