Hello. I don't think a system restore will restore a settings change for a particular application. I think system restore will only restore the registry. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Dave Carlson Sent: Wednesday, June 03, 2009 2:32 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Outlook 2007 and JAWS Issue A couple suggestions... Are there perhaps grouping being used that make the list appear to be sorted incorrectly? As to reading the entire subject, you can control how much text is displayed in the various columns in the current view dialogs. Give the subject a specific fixed width and let other columns float. I also get rid of the superfluous icons and other elements. As to another idea, since your client was playing around with the settings, how about just do a system restore? When she is in her inbox folder, the messages are being sorted in descending order, latest message at the top of the list. Also, JAWS won't read the full entry for each message in the list. This person is running Windows XP Home, Outlook 2007 and JAWS 9.0. Her screen is maximized. We navigated to the view menu, Arrange By sub menu, then went down to custom and pressed enter on that, then tabbed twice to sort and pressed space bar on it. It shows that the messages are being sorted by received and they are sorting in ascending order according to what is checked. We also went to view, current view sub menu, customize and sort, and again, the messages are being sorted by received, ascending. When we were in the arrange by sub menu, date was also checked. The caller told me she had been changing some settings yestarday and may have accidentally hit something and doesn't know what. Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
