I agree with Yardbird here. Remember, JAWS stands for "Job Access with
Speech," or so I recall. Emphasis on "access with speech." As Yardbird
says, the technique discussed in this thread is obvious to a sighted user
but requires figuring out and memorizing by a blind JAWS user. Just because
FS hasn't devised a simpler method or set of keystrokes to accomplish this
task ought not to take such questions outside the JAWS arena.
I can imagine several listers projecting down the proverbial slippery slope,
but every solution to a difficult problem sits on top of a snow-covered
mountain. James asked a similar question the other day and I emailed him
privately to take note. I hope he is willing to try to develop a formula
that encompasses situations like this without over-expanding the definition
of a JAWS question.

No, it's not JAWS-related, it's Windows-related. The technique is the same whether you use JAWS, Window-Eyes, Hal, or any other screen reader, and the technique also works for any sighted person. JAWS doesn't come into play here.
