I would say you have it right. From what he said, jaws standard users will be able to upgrade to Vista home premium at no cost, so I would think thatVista hom basic and premium will be for JAWS standard, and Vista business/enterprise/ultimate will require pro. Just a guess, if you listen to the podcast, i'm sure you'll be able to pick up a little info there.

Chris,Did Eric mentioned which version of JAWS (Standard or Pro) will work with any version of Vist? My guess is as follows:JAWS Standard: Windows Vista Home Basic/Home Premium JAWS Pro: Windows Vista Business/Enterprise/Ultimate * * I don't know about Ultimate, but my guess is that it will require Pro. As I understandit, what they're going todo is release a *free* update to JAWS 8.0 inearly February, , andyes, it will have windows vista support, aswell as a whole bunch ofother bug fixes built into it. As I said, if you're using JAWS 8.0 rightnow, this update is *free*!!!!Ok so we got that out of the way. The nextissue ispricing. According to Eric Damery, the folksat FS would like toencourage everyone who isn't in their S M Aprogram to start usingit, because it'll make sure that you geteither 1 or the next 2updates available, remember this is alldependant upon wether or notyou're already on it and what your statusmight be. but for someonewho isn't on the SMA program and starts usingit, they're guaranteeda version of JAWS, probably 9.0 which will beout later in the year, plus the next one after that. . But here'sthe importantpart. Since they figure that almost no onewill be using Vista homebasic, if you upgrade your system to Windowsvista home premium, which includes all the multimedia stuff, you'll be able to use yourexisting JAWS standard license, if that'swhat you use today. So forall of us using xp home and if we go to Vistahome premium, we won'thave to pay $200 extra for another license. Now of course if you're running Vistabusiness or Vista ultimate, you'll most likely have to use JAWSprofessional, but that's just anidea I had based on what i heard.Anyways, if you want the whole story,visit:http://www.freedomscientific.com/fscast and listen. episode 2 is the one you'llwant to listen to. andremember this is just a regular mp3 file thatyou can listen to inWinamp, so you can just feel free to downloadit, or if you'realready subscribed, you probably already haveit.Well, that's the scoop.
