Hi, Tracy.

You mean well, but Tom has acknowledged that not including his email
address on his offer was an oversight. It begins to feel like one more
example of no good deed going unpunished.

As for your suggestion that each lister put our email address at the foot
of each message, I personally get tired of right-shifting past lines of
needless text, whether it's contact info or cute quotations. For the times
we want to contact someone off-list, obtaining the address from the
message content is easy enough.

Sorry to harp on a subject, but my contact information is at the bottom of
every one of my messages. I'm not suggesting that everyone must do that,
but it seems like it's certainly a good idea if you ask to be contacted
for information.

Hi, Tracy writes:

I'd be interested in having the comprehensive list of key strokes for Word
2007. I'd write to Tom off list, but I found it mentioned in the midst of
an ongoing message and don't have an off list address for him. Why do
people say, "Contact me off list," and then not give off list contact
information?

Well, speaking for myself, (1) I didn't remember to do that, and (2) most
times if you look at the Internet headers for a message, even if it
originates from a listserv, you can usually figure it out. That's how I
found your address and wrote you off-list. You should have the file
momentarily.

Anyway, thanks for any help. I'm amazed at how much I continue to learn
about JAWS, as well as other programs by staying on this list.

Yeah, it's a pretty good resource. Sometimes the signal to noise ratio
isn't so good, but hey, that's the nature of listservs.

Tom
