well as far as buying the student version goes, not illegal if your a student, but more importanly most of the cheaper versions people quote that are cheap are o e m versions, which also do not have support from microsoft. so a student version for say 5 bucks versus a o e m version for 130 and neither has support from micro soft, thats a no brainer, the student version wins hands down. both install and register in the same fashion now. it used to be the student version left off the copy protection found on the o e m version. this is no longer the case, now their the same. for those not familiar o e m is what is supposed to be only sold with a new p c, so hence no tech support. they also have a more expensive version that does come with tech support. cost way more. bill -- To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
