Some antivirus packages come with antispyware and spam filters, each one works a little differently. also some internet service providers have spam filters on their end protecting people from that sort of thing. Really, the very best thing you can do is to not put your e-mail address on any websites that have newsletters or any other sites like that, because lots of times they are farmed for e-mail addresses and guess who gets spammed? Just come up with an e-mail address you know you're not going to use very much and if mail is sent to that address, you either won't see it or it'll bounce back. also make sure if you have an antivirus or a antispyware program, just make sure that the definitions for that program are up-to-date. that's your best line of defense against this stuff.At 07:34 PM 1/18/2007, you wrote:Since getting my computer last August I realized that I haven't been spammed with obnoxious emails or received the spyware and viruses I got with my old computer.
