This has nothing to do with JFW, and shouldn't have been posted on this list to begin with. That said, yes, any and all replies should be sent off-list to the provided email address. Let's keep this list strictly related to JFW, please.

a friend of mine uses a Braille Lite 18, and when connecting the power supply, the batteries don't seem to recharge. The device will not react to the switch on and off command either.
What could be causing this problem, and are there ways to fix this?
The charger warms up as if it were doing something, but other than that, nothing happens.
What battery type is used in those devices, and can they be changed manually, or is only a technician able to do this?
