Now, that does happen to me, too, and it's annoying. I don't have the
problem of JAWS hanging when I open messages, but I do have the focus issue.

I haven't encountered that problem, however I do have a problem with focus
in the message list window. When I use home to go to the first message and
delete it, JFW 7.1 looses focus on the rest of the message list window. I
have to do a little up and down arrowing to resolve this. I'm wondering if
this is happening to anyone else?
