I think, in the body of a message, that you can press alt b and it will also turn off.

Raul,first of all, that field isn't appearing in the message as someone receives it! It's completely invisible, always. That will toggle off the bcc field and close the menu. By the way, you may know that OE menus are context-oriented. Some itemsappear only in certain situations. For this operation, you have to first bein an open new message, even if you're just pretending to write a new message. Press control n. And then go to the View menu. Afterward, you can exit the make-believe message if you aren't actually intending to write a message.
