Hello! I am far from an expert when it comes to computer anything.
Nevertheless, I have tried to back up my OE folders, 85 or more of them, OE
Address Book, My Documents, etc. Since I am such a "chimp", I have found a
way to do this when I can configure another program that I know everyone
else can use easily. I use Inaches Easy CD Creator, I think 1.42 from the
jfw lite home page. After the back up is made, then it can be easily burned
to CD with Roxio CD Creator 5 or 6 for sure; not sure about the new version
7 though. Remember, this is easily done by all of you who have no problems
configuring programs like I do. Also, with E-backup, I maintain a Backups
folder in My Documents and after 3 E-Backups are automatically routed there
one daily on start up, then the 4th, oldest jumps off and there are always 3
in that folder. I can use Easy CD Creator to back up the E-Backup at any
time, when it's a good day and I know what I am trying to do. My dream would
be to backup my E-Backup most recent that is kept once weekly since so much
in my OE folders is really my entire life.
Now, a question for you. I have a disc that someone backedup one of my
E-Backups on, but I have no idea how to import that backup which may contain
my missing 100,000 files back into my XP now JAWS 4.5 system, but after the
disc arrives, 6.0 version. It asks me what program was used to make the CD
and I have no idea or have no way to locate this information any longer. I
just am not savvy enough to handle this at all. Any advice, ideas or
suggestions you may offer would be tremendously appreciated.
Thanks very much and Healthy, happy 2005 and every year after to all!
