Not Getting to the desktop afterr closing programs

I'm having a problem. When I'm in let's say Outlook Express, I want to close
the program I get jaws instead of the desktop. I have to press the left
mouse button to get to the desktop. When I had JFW4.51 I did not have this
problem. How can I fix this in JFW5?
