As silly as this seems, have you set your screen echo to Highlighted? If not,
JAWS won't read menu items as you move through the menus.
The only alternative I can think of is to arrow through the menu, pressing the
SayLine command (insert+up arrow) on every menu choice.

When I had that problem, Freedom Scientific helped me to change the
settings to their correct settings.
