First, push the insert key and the six key on the number row (top row below function keys) on the keyboard. When the configuration manager comes up, hold the alt key down and press the S key. Next hit the T key for text processing. Hit the tab key til you get to the "number processing" item then arrow down to where JAWS says "number processing single digits". Hit alt-F4 to back out, and hit enter to save changes. If you want the number translation to show up in all aplications in single digits, after you hit the insert and six keys but before you hit alt-s, hit control-shift key and the d key to bring up the default configuration manager, then hit alt-S and tab to the item as I mentioned above.
