Additional suggestion: There's also a Windows key to the right of the space
bar. it's third from the left from the control key , between the
Applications key and the Alt key.
Helpful to know when the letter you need to press for a command, such as the
E for Windows Explorer, is on the left side of the keyboard instead of the
right, as the U is, here.

another way to start it is the windows key plus U. The windows key is the
one between alt and control on the left side of keyboard.
I've found that starting narrator sometimes kicks jaws back into life.
