My issues with Jaws 8 being sluggish

Hello list,

New user here. I upgraded to 8.0 and noticed the following two problems:

1. I use Eudora for e-mail and when I'm using the down arrow key to step through the message, Jaws becomes sluggish when it has to scroll up the screen one line to read the text. If the text is already on the screen, it reads it just fine. Only when it has to scroll does it effect the response to the key stroke. It's about a half second delay. Very annoying.

2. When using Internet Explorer 7 and visiting a site that lists classified ads, Jaws 8 will skip over several ads. These ads are indexed with a graphic and are listed 10 to a page. I use the "G" key to jump to the next ad as Jaws is reading. It usually misses 3 to 4 of the ads.

Neither of these conditions occur with Jaws 7 and tech support at Freedom could not resolve these problems. I'm wondering if anyone else has seen anything like this? I hate having to jump back and forth between Jaws 7 and8 throughout the day.

Thanks,
